Offender Profiling Exercise

Description
This is an exercise that I wrote a few years ago. The students have to follow the evidence and create a basic profile of an offender. First I split into small groups, then the students get the first 'brief'. Following this at intervals of approx 5 minutes I show the next few slides which contain more information about the case (reports, eye witnesses). At the I brain storm with the entire class to create a profile. There's details of who did it to check this profile off againsts. In the zip is a powerpoint, 'official' note paper, and teacher notes with all details on. For the sounds to work the powerpoint has to be in the same folder as the sound files.

Looks like a really good resource. I am delivering edexcel forensic psychology unit for applied forensic science and last year got class to do offender profile on a closed fbi case on Chandra Levy using Brent Turvey's Behavioural Evidence Analysis technique but students got too preoccupied with 'solving' the crime. Will give this a go instead. Many thanks.

Many thanks Jamie - I've had a play with the resource and it all looks to work beautifully. Can't wait to use it with my students next year with the AQA (B) Forensic Psychology topic. Brilliant work.
